10.28.2001When they meet again after many years apart, Their friendship is as true as ever. Daylight Savings Time always throws me for a trip, ya know? When I change my clock back, I'll be right back where I started an hour earlier. Most bars here are open until 2am. So does that mean when it's 2am, and it then becomes 1am, they can serve alcohol for another hour? What if I was meeting someone, somewhere, at 2am? Do they mean the first time it's 2am, or the second? And what about blogger? If I posted this exactly at 1.59am, and then posted another message a minute later, would I be posting at 2am, or 1am, and would the post at 1.59am show up first, or would it switch them around so 1am shows up as the first post? (And should I attempt this?) And what about this gum I'm chewing? If I put it in my mouth at 1am and then chewed it for an hour, when the time changes back would it still be hour-old gum or fresh gum? Will I have these same stupid thoughts when it's the time it is "now", again? :0P Do I need that extra hour of sleep? I know the answer to that one. Goodnight! blogged by Chaz @ 1:42 AM |
10.27.2001Inside is thought. Deepest is the soul. Wow, I actually stayed in friday night! :0P I couldn't miss Dark Angel on FOX, and Kain and I watched "The Mexican" starring Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts. It's pretty funny. I enjoyed James Gandolfini's performance the most. Very good work. So yes, I would like to point up to the picture above, and thank my lucky Tylenol Cold medicine for making me feel much, much better than I was last night. Those pills are blessed. :0P Nicole called tonight, she's babysitting some kids, and she'll be busy all weekend. She just wanted to call and tell me that she'd like to see me on Monday. And perhaps the next day, and the day after. :0P She's going to Nawlins (New Orleans) on the 1st, so she wants to hang out a bit before she leaves for a week. What a sweet, sweet girl. :0) Oh and an update as far as helping my friend Brady move her stuff earlier friday morning. Hah. Didn't happen like I said. I was feelin' pretty bad this morning. :0P Sorry Brady! Columbia House sent me another little thing in the mail, you know those cards saying they're going to bill you for a movie unless you send the card back to them? Well this card said they will bill my account for "The Mummy Returns" unless I send the card back by 10/26/01. The 26th!?!? Thanks for the advanced notice!! Pssh. So anyhow, I get online columbia house to see if I can cancel them sending it to me, which normally you can, but online it's not even listed as one of the things they're going to send me! So I canceled the only two "director's selections" they had for me; "The Grinch", and "Shrek". I swear if they bill me for "The Mummy Returns"....I'll.....I'm gonna....argh!! I'll return it to them. :0P (What?! You think I'm gonna hurt someone over that?) blogged by Chaz @ 12:31 AM |
10.26.2001Make them divulge their secrets. Only with strength is there discovery. So today I tried to stay in all day to get all the "rest" mom tells you to have when you're sick. Yah well that worked until about noon. My friend Brady called me, asking me if I'd move some stuff from her old apartment, into her new apartment. Not just as a favor, but she would pay me $40 bucks for my time and effort. So I said sure, because I seem to be stupid. :0P So I get all ready, even though I feel pretty crappy, and I go and clean out the van a bit just in case she has "a lot" of stuff to fit in there. Then I wait for her to call me back, which she said would take an hour or so. Well 5 hours later she called. "Chaz, do you still want to help move the stuff?" she says. "Umm...not really. Not today." I say. "Yah, that's what I was gonna say. I'm just too tired." she says. "Okay. So tomorrow?" I question. "Yah, 10am." she says, going on with details of where and how. Okay, so now that it's late at night, and I can gauge how I'm going to feel in the morning, I definitely do not want to help. I need rest! Forty bucks sounds nice, but ugh, I really am weak and my head hurts and my nose is all runny and my throat is itchy. Blah blah blah. Maybe I can tell her I'll do it around 2pm. Give me time to rest more. Anyway, we went to a play tonight. We saw another 3rd year company show from my school. This show has been the best one I've seen of theirs yet. It was funny, dramatic, sad, all in one play. Sheena got flowers from Ty, Estevan and myself. We're "her boys", apparently. :0P Now I must gain energy back before Friday night. I fear that I will not be resting then. :0P blogged by Chaz @ 2:22 AM |
10.25.2001Dillinger Four - Maximum Piss & VinegarI laughed at what was said, I'd been misled, confusing my enemies. Blind trust in what was put in front of me. You laughed as well, in on the joke, all pokerfaced. Fingers crossed behind your back. Eyes not betraying how the deck was stacked. And I'd like to be the one to wipe that smile off your face. To let you taste the bitterness that passing time has not erased. And when the house of cards you built has finally toppled in decline, I hope the punishment and pain will last a lifetime. You coast along you're so damn smart you think But not quite invisible, you're in my eye and unforgivable. Cuz I'm one step quicker than the last motherfucker that you thought you got over on but they couldn't wait as long to see it through. You'll let your comfort get the best of you. You'll never see it coming, out of the blue Like it was nothing, but you will know your situation, Because the end was your creation. The end was your creation. blogged by Chaz @ 5:13 PM |
Is your only learning chemistry, physics, and ontology? What if poetry was your template for life? Can't you know Tao by the feeling of mud between your toes? Grrr. I seemed to have gotten a little bit of what Nicole had. I had a bit of a sore throat, but I've since cured that. Now all I'm trying to control is a runny nose. Blah! I even went to Jamba Juice to order a Coldbuster smoothie, with 200% Vitamin C and a bunch of other stuff. I admit it seems dumb because really, isn't 100% the most we can actually use? I'm pretty sure the extra 100% is a waste. But oh well, it sounds cool to have 200%. Estevan got his bank stuff squared away, so we are no longer in danger of being kicked out in the next few days. But I must admit, it was an exciting feeling to think that we were gonna! :0P The hike in our rent starting in January is still happening though. We're still a bit miffed about it all, and there hasn't been much decision or talk on who would stay, if any of us. Ty has already mentioned he'd leave, Kain and I are still unsure. Decisions, decisions. :0P I'd better go get some kleenex before my snot drips on the keyboard. There's a good mental picture for ya! ;0) blogged by Chaz @ 1:02 AM |
10.24.2001Live a life of truth, And you will look back on a life of truth. Live a life of fantasy, And you will look back on delusion. Well I didn't get to carve pumpkins with Nicole. She had to work tonight at Magic Mountain. She's one of the make-up artists that does up all the scary goblins and dead people and stuff that scares people at this month's Frightfest. Cool job, huh? :0P It's all good, because that means I didn't miss my new favorite tv show! Smallville on the WB rocks my socks! :0P (Yes I know, "rocks my socks" is a stupid phrase, bite me.) I'm fallin' in love with the girl who plays Lana Lang! Mmmm..she so pretty! :0) Our landlord served us two notices today. First, was that the check Estevan wrote for rent this month bounced, because of some problem with his bank, and so he has 3 days to pay her our rent or we're kicked out. And second, our rent is being jacked up to $1500 a month starting January 1st. That'd be $500 a piece from the remaining 3 of us, if we decide to stay. And I'm already hearing from Tyrico that he's gonna move out, because he "can get a place by himself for that much". True true. So maybe I'll stay, maybe I won't. Haven't decided yet. We still have 2 months. It's been decided we're throwing a Halloween party here at the pad. That should be fun, so we gotta start planning it right away, since it's right around the corner. But we all decided we have one of the coolest apartments (if not the coolest) among all our friends, so where better to have the party? And yes, it'd have to be a costume party, because we're cheesy like that. Besides, I definitely want to see Nicole dressed as an Evil School Girl. (That's what she's informed me she is going as, and her costume sounds...mmm...naughty.) Best of all, I'll have my own bedroom by this time, because Estevan is almost out! :0P Sometimes, everything just comes together for me, all at once. Karma. Has to be the karma. Or maybe it's the new shoes I got. It's gotta be the shoes. ;0) blogged by Chaz @ 2:39 AM |
10.23.2001Yet I am still covered with sin. Well I finally got my blog working again. Liquidweb changed some things around, and it prevented me from posting for the past few days. Anyway... So the girl I mentioned in an earlier post is very cool, and I'm glad her and I are getting to know each other. I went to her house last saturday to watch a movie with her (because she was sick with a cold), and we had a great time. (I'm drinking lots of Strawberry-Orange-Banana Juice to combat any attempt at contracting the cold.) :0) Tonight, Nicole (that's her name) and I are going to carve pumpkins, I do believe. So that should be fun! Mmm... then I'm gonna cook the pumpkin seeds and salt them...and yum yum! EAT THEM! :0) This is one of my favorite times of the year, other than Christmas. :0P Kain and I want to save up money to buy a fairly professional digital camcorder, because we have a ton of ideas and sketches (not to mention we both have been writing our share of screenplays) that we want to get on film. Of course that's probably far down the road, as we're not makin' too much money to save up for such a purpose. :0P All in due time, I guess. Anyway, I need to go buy some nice sized pumpkins for tonight! Peace! blogged by Chaz @ 2:31 PM |
10.20.2001Flying joyously. Wings like a nun's hands: First folded in prayer, Then open in offering. Well October 19th was my very good friend Del's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! YAY, YOU'RE 18!! (yer a little squirt still.) I just missed the cutoff time to post on the correct date! Sorry, Dellio! :0P (I was busy making your graphic!) Anyway, I got my haircut, just a trim, but it looks nice. Ummm.... I went to a party last night, to see my friend Jeremy off to good fortunes in life! He's moving to Washington to go to school at Evergreen. Good luck man! It was a fun party, even though I wasn't drinking. I got a very cute girl's phone number who was also not drinking (we had something in common for the night), and she also asked for my number. Sooooo maybe I'll be seeing her sometime soon. :0P I put DotComments back up on my blog, so feel free to make rude, unsolicited comments again. :0) Just click the "VOICE" link on the bottom of each entry you wish to comment on! Ta-da! Take care everyone! blogged by Chaz @ 12:49 AM |
10.18.2001Quiet whitewashed walls with slant sunshine And a fresh breeze through open windows. Sorry I've really sucked at updating recently. I've had some busy times in the past week. I got a new job! That's right, the Chaz you once knew, who worked for CollegeClub.com, and then left and worked for Tower Records, no longer works there anymore. I am now a Talent and Model Scout! That's right, I'm spotting good looking, talented people who are interested in being a model or actor. Exciting, fun and freakin' tough work. It sounds easy. Walk up to someone, make their day by telling them how gorgeous they are, tell them yer a model scout, and ask them to come in for an evaluation...but there are a lot of jaded people in Los Angeles, and everyone thinks yer a scam! Bah! But once I get the hang of it all, I will hopefully be rollin' in the dough! Woo! I no longer have blue hair, I dyed my hair black so I would look more professional when scouting people. :0) (Okay, so I dyed it black to get the job, I really really wanna dye it back to blue. :0( ) Estevan started moving stuff out of his room today, so that's a good sign that I'll have my own room soon! YAY! But this is also a sign that I'll be paying more for rent in his absence. BOO! :0P Still, I guess $450 a month isn't bad for a nice big apartment. And I do mean BIG. :0) I got 2 CD's today, because I special ordered them when I worked at Tower Records, and they finally came in. So I now have Dillinger Four! Both "Versus God" and "Midwestern Songs of the Americas"! Thanks to Kris for the recommendation of this frickin' awesome punk band! Of course, I couldn't expect less from a frickin' awesome punk chicka like Kris! *kiss kiss*, Princess! ;0) Okay, now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go do things...and....stuff... *cough* You're a stuff! blogged by Chaz @ 1:30 AM |
10.07.2001Where you are On your journey? Well well well, we meet again my fellow blog-readers. How's it hangin'? Hmm..can't actually hold a conversation with me I suppose. Darn. Hey, I know, if you read my blog, write me an email and let me know! I wanna hear from you what you think about my blog! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, just get my email where it says "email" below. :0P So nothing exciting or eventful to talk about. Which is a reason why I haven't updated as often recently. Right now it's kinda just livin' day by day kinda stuff...work, sleep, eat. I could document everything I eat and tell you, but who's got the time to read such a list. Bah. :0P I got a buncha free CD's from work...a bunch of promos that we collect. Basically they're the whole CD the artist puts out for sale, except it's not for sale, and sometimes the cover art is different then the consumer CD, which is cool. :0) So I got some punk some CD's for my roommates, and some bands I've been fans of for a long time, like Built To Spill, from Idaho. :0) Anyway, Estevan is moving out at the end of this month! That means....yes! I finally get a bedroom! All to myself! YAY! (For those that don't know, I've been sleeping in the living room for the past 3 or so months since I moved in here, waiting for Estevan to move out.) Everyone email me and congratulate me on getting a room this month! :0P blogged by Chaz @ 4:03 AM |
10.02.2001Is a mirrored, Spiked casket. Well, after it had been pointed out to me by a few people that my blog has not been updated for awhile, I promptly told them to shut their cake holes. :0P So now that it's later on, I have decided to update my blog...because *I* want to, not because I feel *pressured* to do it. I will not be bullied into blogging by the Blog Update Inquisition. :0P So anyway, week has quickly gone by. Did a few things. Dyed my hair blue. Bought plaid pants, some new shoes, and a belt. :0P And the coolest purchase of them all, I bought myself a pet! Yes, a living, breathing thing! Best part is, it doesn't pee or poop all over my floor! I bought a bonsai tree! Woot! :0P Her name is Ran Ponu. (I named her that, it's a Chinese name, based on the English words "Punk Rock") I call her Ponu, or Po for short. :0) She's three years old, and she's gonna be with me for the rest of my life! (Just as long as I take great care of her.) I get to prune her, and water her...and just make her beautiful. :0P Anyhoo, the photo above is the little old man, sitting underneath Ponu. What a life! I wish I could relax in the shade of a tree all day long! :0P Time for bed, I work at noon, and it's my friday! Woot! :0) blogged by Chaz @ 3:01 AM |
